Belladrum Tartan Heart 2010
The Tartan Heart Festival

The festival site the day before was a buzz of activity …
HSPC are delighted to be one of the sponsors of the Tartan Heart Festival again. We caught up with Joe Gibbs – owner / organiser of the Tartan Heart Festival to ask about 2010:
How many years has the festival been going and how has it changed over the years?
We’re in our seventh year. The most obvious change has been in size – it has grown from 2000 people over one day in 2004 to 13000 per day over two days; the audience, and the sheer breadth and variety of musical and arts on offer has expanded hugely; however, what hasn’t changed much is the all-ages and very Highland nature of the event.

What’s new this year Joe?
The Chang Gang aerobatics team performing on the Saturday will be pretty awesome; and the Temple has been opened up for chanting, clarsach and Shakespeare; plenty of other stuff too!
Anything you’re particularly looking forward to?
The Wailers, of course!

How do you plan to appease the rain gods this year?
I’ve offered them a concession to sell sunglasses at the event
Belladrum Tartan Heart festival takes place in the beautiful estate of Belladrum in August, homegrown in the Highlands usually with over 70 acts on 5 stages in a beautiful setting, theatre, cabaret, dance & kids stuff galore.
HSPC have been one of the festival sponsors for 4 years running, sponsoring the Brigadoon Bar
and for the first few years giving away the very popular blow up seats! These always prove a popular hit with the crowd.
If you're heading to this years Festival - Have fun!
