About Muir of Ord

Muir of Ord is a village close to the edge of the Black Isle peninsula in the Ross and Cromarty area. The village is home to the annual Black Isle Show, one of the largest agricultural shows in Scotland. The Glen Ord distillery is also located in the village. Inverness is roughly a 20 minute drive (via the A832 and A9). The village also has a station on the Inverness to Thurso and Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh Railway line.
